We were at the pool the other day and Kaitlin was going down the slide having a blast. She came down then ran to go back up, but slipped and fell. She scraped her knee pretty badly, but her head took the brunt of things it seems. She had on goggles and they had a little peg on both sides that sits at her temple. When her head hit the ground you can guess what happened. We decided since it was her face and the gash was pretty deep, that we should go to the urgent care. Jason was a wonderful daddy and took such loving care of her. They wrapped her up in a papoose and draped a sheet over her head. They did such a great job that she had no idea that she actually got a shot and stitches. She barely even whimpered. Today was a different story...the day we got the stitches out. HYSTERICAL!!! It is so hard to listen to your child scream. Kaitlin actually busted a few blood vessels under her eye from crying so hard. So glad those are out and we are done.
