Life has gotten significantly easier around here lately. The kids are having such a great time playing with one another. One of their current favorite games is sitting at the top of the stairs together for their "club" and eating snacks. They also love to play chase, jumping on the couch, running from the vacuum, showing off tricks on the trampoline, pushing each other in the babydoll strollers, or whatever game Kaitlin can make up.
Kaitlin is the sweetest daughter in the whole world. I am constantly surprised at what a wonderful big sister she is to Hudson. Lately she has even bumped it up a notch. She has discovered how far being kind can get her with him. She is still having a wonderful time with dance class and has been taking swim lessons the past couple weeks. Kaitlin loves to swim and is eager to figure it out for herself. I am amazed how well she is doing in such a short period of time. We overhear her telling her teacher, "I do it all myself." She is extremely independent. Today she swam with only the flotation device on her back. What an accomplishment! All during swim lessons we hear random squeals of delight and see huge smiles. Jason and I both have gotten to watch her do both of her activities lately and it's so much fun to see your child enjoying herself. Kaitlin is a bit of a free spirit and really seems to have an artsy flair. She spends half of her dance lesson giggling and in her own little world. It's so cute! She really likes to socialize with the other kids and has never met a kid she doesn't want to play with. The other day we were trying to find a specific tv show for Kaitlin and she said, "mommy this tv is making me nuts." Too funny!
Hudson has been talking up a storm. His vocabulary is increasing every day. Some new words include cookie, fishy, rice, Dallas, ball, shoes, up, light, chips. Hudson has also put together 2 words for the first time. Kaitlin was sleeping in one morning and Hudson escaped up the stairs to go find her...he ran into the room saying "Hi Sissy". It was the sweetest thing! He has been in a huge growth spurt and is rapidly outgrowing all 24 month clothing and into 2T pants and 3T shirts. Hudson eats just as much as I do at most meals and snacks more often. It is amazing how much food this kid packs away. Hudson has finally gotten more teeth. He has all four molars now and two more of his top teeth. His bottom two teeth are pretty lonely down there. He will be 18 months next week. Unbelievable! Our little boy is so fast, takes lots of tumbles, recovers quickly, smiles constantly, shares extremely well, will give Kaitlin his last gummy treat, loves his blankets, thinks Daddy is the most fun, but is still a mommy's boy, LOVES to snuggle and hug, gives slobbery kisses, does a couple different funny walks to make us laugh, is a ham, has an ear piercing scream whenever he is upset, has a sweet belly laugh when he's happy.
