"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jer. 29:11
I guess we owe everyone an explanation of the last post...at least for those of you who don't know. I will start at the beginning. For a couple years now Jason has been passively looking for a new position at Liberty or a new job. We both agreed that we didn't want NC to be a permanent thing and would love to eventually move back to GA. Jason had a few different opportunities come his way, but none of them worked out for fairly strange reasons each time.
A few months ago Jason, my Mom, and I were sitting at our house talking about jobs and God's plan for our lives. Somehow we started talking about Jason starting his own agency and he said he'd thought about it in the past but always dismissed it. Well that night it was not dismissed. Jason spent the next month looking into what he would need to start an agency and where we might want to start one. The following month it seemed it might be feasible. Ideas started taking shape and we spoke more seriously about what would need to happen. We decided to pray and pray and pray about it all and ask that the Lord would open all the doors. Jason completed a business plan, started contacting all the right people, we decided on Atlanta, and made a decision to move ahead. God took it from there. The past few weeks have been a whirlwind of getting our house ready to put on the market, putting our house on the market, going to Atlanta to figure out where we wanted to be...Johns Creek, and Jason spending countless hours on putting his company together and getting his various appointments with insurance agencies. Jason quit his job last week and is working full time on getting his company up and running. We are currently praying our house will sell quickly and ready to move within the next month or so to GA. Jason is hoping to have his business up and running in the next few months. I pray that we always remember how God has been in every step of this process. It has been abundantly clear that this is His will for our family. We are so thrilled that to be moving back to GA, that Jason gets to utilize his entrepreneurial spirit, and to enter a new chapter in life.
Tonight at church we had a guest speaker. I don't know about everyone else, but we usually are not so thrilled about that b/c we LOVE our pastor. Tonight was the exception and it spoke right to our hearts. It was all about making sure that you don't let your kids miss out on God's miraculous work. We thought about how God has worked right in front of us to provide for our family and how we haven't included Kaitlin in our prayers and conversations about all of it. How can she know what a celebration it is when our prayers are answered if she doesn't know what we're praying about in the first place. Anyways, now even Kaitlin is praying for God's will:)
Finally...we have had our house on the market for 2.5 weeks, had two showings, one second showing today and are awaiting the results.
I'm sure that was way too much info for one post, so I've added some pics of our sweeties.

Man...we sure do miss seeing y'all! Hudson is getting so big and Kaitlin is slimming down! Did you make the outfit she's wearing in a couple pictures?
